This is my first blog here so i'm just going to talk and i know it might be pretty boring for you folks to get indulge with it. And this might also get little out of topic.
But let me tell you this, in any field, you have to have your basics strong. And similar to that if you want to be DBA (someday) then you have to understand the scenario of that environment. It could be any type of business (small, medium, large). Analysis is in your blood, you just have to be conscious about it.
The most basics is ER-Diagram(Entity Relationship Diagram). ER-Diagram is simple but it could be complex and you should spend your most thinking time here, in the basics, coz it'll build up your pillar to the far excellence.
The next step is Normalisation (1st, 2nd, 3rd). It is simple and easy once you've started to get acknowledge the database world.
