Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Highlights of Indian Premier League 2013, 62nd T20 Match played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 13th May 2013.
Mumbai Indians’ seven-wicket triumph is their first against Sunrises Hyderabad at the IPL. They had lost by seven wickets to them at Uppal on May 1.
Mumbai Indians’ aforesaid win is their biggest in terms of wickets at the IPL 2013.
Mumbai Indians have won all their seven IPL games at Wankhede Stadium at the IPL 2013.
Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have won ten and lost four out of 14 played. Mumbai, because of their superior net run-rate, are placed at the top in the Points Table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (178/3) have posted their highest total at the IPL, outstripping the 161 for six against RCB at Bangalore on April 9, 2013.
The aforesaid total is the second highest by any team against Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2013. Rajasthan Royals had made 179 for three at Jaipur on April 17, 2013.
Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard were involved in a partnership of 85 (unbroken) off 6.1 overs for the fourth wicket – the run-rate being 13.78. The said partnership is Mumbai’s highest for any wicket against Hyderabad at the IPL
Pollard’s tally of eight sixes is the second highest for Mumbai Indians at the IPL – the highest being eleven by Sanath Jayasuriya during his innings of 114 not out off 48 balls against Chennai at Mumbai on May 14, 2008.
Pollard’s strike rate of 244.44 (66 not out off 27 balls) is the highest by a Mumbai batsman at the IPL (minimum 50).
The leading six-hitters at the IPL 2013 are Chris Gayle (41), Rohit Sharma (27), Kieron Pollard (21), David Miller (20) and Shane Watson (20).
Pollard’s aforesaid innings is his highest and the fourth fifty at the IPL. Thanks to his outstanding knock, he is averaging 25.00 for the first time at the IPL – 925 runs in eleven innings (14 times not out).
After winning six consecutive tosses – two by Ricky Ponting and four by Rohit Sharma – at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at the IPL 2013, Mumbai Indians have lost the toss for the first time at home.
Parthiv Patel, with 244 runs at an average of 24.40 in ten matches is the top run-getter for Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IPL.
Shikhar Dhawan is averaging 47.00 in seven innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad – the highest for his team at the IPL 2013 – his aggregate being 235, including three fifties.
Dhawan is the only one to record three half-centuries for Sunrisers at the IPL. He has registered 16 fifties at the IPL overall.
Dhawan is the first batsman to register two fifties against Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2013 – 73 not out off 55 balls at Uppal on May 1 and 59 off 41 balls at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 13. His average is the highest against Mumbai Indians in the present competition – 132 runs in two innings at an average of 132.00.
Dhawan and Vihari were involved in a stand of 73 for the second wicket – Hyderabad’s second highest for any wicket against Mumbai Indians at the IPL, next only to the 74 by the same pair for the third wicket at Uppal, Hyderabad on May 1, 2013.
The 73-run partnership is Hyderabad’s highest for the second wicket at the IPL – their first fifty-plus stand for this wicket-position.
Mitchell Johnson, with 20 wickets at 17.70 runs apiece in 13 matches, is the leading wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians at the IPL.
Johnson has bowled 15 wides in the present competition, equalling an unwanted feat of Praveen Kumar and Dwayne Bravo.
Dinesh Karthik’s tally of 55 dismissals is the third highest by a wicketkeeper at the IPL, next only to Adam Gilchrist (64) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (57).
Thisara Perera (201 at an average of 25.12 + 16 wickets at 25.37) is the second all-rounder after Jacques Kallis to accomplish the double of 200 runs + 10 wickets at the IPL 2013.
Lasith Malinga, with 96 wickets at an average of 17.34 in 68 matches, has extended his IPL record.
Dale Steyn has delivered 171 dot balls – the most by any bowler at the IPL 2013.
Dinesh Karthik’s aggregate of 435 (ave.33.46) is the second highest for Mumbai Indians in the present competition, next only to Rohit Sharma’s 487 at an average of 54.11.
Sachin Tendulkar, with 295 fours, has extended his record for most fours at the IPL.
Sachin has completed 2300 runs at the IPL – 2334 at an average of 34.83 in 78 matches.
Karthik and Tendulkar were involved in a stand of 68 (unbroken) for the second wicket – Mumbai Indians’ highest partnership against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IPL.
